One
of Trails' "bloomers", Teacher
Aileen has been with the center since
she graduated from the University of Santo
Tomas and passed the Board of Occupational
Therapist Licensure Examination in 2003.
Together with her group, she garnered
the Best Scientific Paper on Biofeedback
vs. Inhibitory NDT Techniques in Reducing
Spasticity: A Pilot Study. Her group was
also awarded as the Best Internship Group.
Aileen is passionate about her work and
is dedicated in helping children reach
their full potential. She has attended
various seminars on medical play therapy
and collaboration with other allied medical
professionals.
Her colleagues agree that she has a soothing
singing voice, not knowing that she became
a choir member of the Sub-Parish Youth
Choir of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in
Alabang, Muntinlupa City from 2000-2001.
A self-confessed dog-lover, she plays
with her three dogs at home after a day's
work. She may initially impress a person
as someone who's serious but her close
friends would attest to her sense of humor,
kindness and patience. Teacher Aileen
appreciates good food but it doesn't show
in her petite built. She is also the unofficial
Human Resource Manager of Trails since
she has been very diligent in choosing
consultants who can work well with the
Trails team.
Aileen has been involved in the evaluation
and management of pediatric cases such
as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder, behavioral problems, dyspraxia,
muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, global
developmental delay, learning disability,
hearing impairment and mental retardation.
