Consistently
the Best in Attendance and she has never
been late for work, that's how dependable
Teacher Aimee is. She is also considered
as a Super Therapist since she is a consultant
speech pathologist of three therapy centers.
Aimee graduated with the degree of Bachelor
of Science in Speech Pathology at the
University of the Philippines - Manila
in 2002 and is now contemplating on pursuing
a Masters degree from the same university
where she has also been a consistent College
Scholar. She also received the Outstanding
Research Award on Acoustic Parameters
of Perceptually Normal Voice among 21-30
year old Filipinos in Metro Manila. Aimee
has also attended various seminars and
workshops on Down syndrome, voice disorders,
aphasia, dysphagia/swallowing disorders,
language disabilities, speech and cognitive
intervention and cleft lip and palate.
Aimee has been involved in performing
evaluation on pediatric as well as geriatric
patients who may have speech and language
disorders and behavioral problems. She
has also planned, directed and conducted
treatment of children with autism, Down
syndrome, cleft lip and palate, global
developmental delay, cerebral palsy and
other developmental disorders. She has
had experience in working in varied set-ups
e.g. clinical, hospital, school and community-based.
When Aimee is not busy working as a speech
pathologist, she cooks on her spare time.
She also goes to the gym and loves to
read. She loves going to malls and has
an appetite for different types of food
but only nibbles everything since she
wants to keep her small frame. She is
one person who's open to self-improvement
and learns from experience. She is not
afraid to be inquisitive about the things
that are novel and practices humility
in everything she does.
