Fondly
called Teacher Raidis by her students, she
has over 9 years of teaching experience.
Teacher Raidis' passion for learning never
ceases, aside from taking up units in B.S.
Speech Pathology, she graduated from the
University of the Philippines, with a Bachelors
Degree in Elementary Education major in
Special Education in 1995. She immediately
worked as a Special Education Teacher at
the Center for Developmental Intervention
Foundation Inc. in the same year. It was
in 1998 when she decided to go back to her
hometown in Palawan and became an Elementary
Grade Teacher 1 of the Puerto Princesa Pilot
Elementary School. She also passed the Licensure
Examination for Teachers and the Civil Service
Sub-Professional Examination. Teacher Rayds
is currently finishing her Masters Degree
in Reading Education in UP Diliman.
When
she is not busy doing her lesson plans
and teaching aids/materials, she is bonding
with her two-year-old son, Fillipp Edvard.
Her fondness for movies and shopping were
slowly replaced by Disney CDs and shopping
for educational toys and books. She's
one true host when friends visit her in
Palawan. She can prepare an itinerary
like a pro and is better than any agency
in booking reservations. She is truly
proud of Palawan and Trails is very lucky
to have her as a part of the team at least
every summer while she's working on her
Masters program. Teacher Raidis is a true
blue multi-tasker indeed.
